It seems to have wandered off, like the little dog I saw walking down the sidewalk the other day. He was a Shih-Tzu maybe...and he was totally just out for a stroll on a busy road. I was talking to Scott when I saw him the second time and Scott made me feel guilty for not grabbing him up and returning him to his owner. So I turned around and went back for him, thinking that I would be heartbroken if that my little Brody went walkabout by himself, but I couldn't find the little furball when I went back. I didn't see him on the pavement either so he probably got rescued by a less reluctant hero. Scott insists he got flattened but I think he's just being mean. But that dog is my summer, metaphorically speaking. It's just off, on a mission, without a leash, and I wish someone would return it to me unharmed.
Doesn't help that I have to unpack my classroom and pack up my apartment. Not sure when all of that is going to go down. And it's a busy stretch at the Comcast...Jonas Brothers tomorrow! Woo-hoo. Who are they???? No, I know. But only because I teach 8th grade.
The soccer team got its collective booty kicked again today. Rob was a part of that booty, orange hair and all. He played well, actually; I don't think he understands what an asset he actually was. At least I managed to not get hurt. Poor Rob is so busy lately...he hasn't even had time to stop being orange. [13-year-old girl voice] It was kind of embarrassing actually; I had to explain to all my friends why my brother is has orange hair. OMG. How could he do that to me?
Brody had two visitors today. Marie was the first. You have never seen a dog's tail move so fast! He's just so in love with her, and he thought this was his big chance, without the tall guy around, to make his move. Don't worry, Chip, I don't think he managed to smooch your wife! I told him Darth Vader would come after him if he did...
But then Rob stopped by too and Brody was pretty excited to see him too. He did not, however, try to plant a wet one on Rob. Well, maybe just a little one. But he is a dog.
A lot of people from my past have been kind of popping back into my life lately and it's kind of refreshing...I always feel like people come back around if they're meant to, and sometimes you're just most receptive to it than others...I guess I'm feeling sentimental lately, because it makes me happy to hear from all these people. I think Facebook brainwashes you or something.
If anyone sees where my summer ran off to, please return it. There's a reward.
