Beautiful night in Dallas

Beautiful night in Dallas

Adding to my collection of pictures of myself at MLB ballparks, here I am in Dallas after the Rangers win. Actually, I guess it's Arlington, technically. And it really was a great night, weather-wise.

Book depository

Book depository

The former Texas School Book Depository. The sixth floor is notorious for having been the site of the shots fired allegedly by Lee Harvey Oswald at JFK's motorcade traveling through Dealey Plaza. I swear I flipped it vertical. There must be some kind of conspiracy...

The grassy knoll

The grassy knoll

Dealey Plaza is amazing; it really looks the same as the pictures from the 60s. It's kind of eerie actually, because you can really picture it.

Triple Underpass

Triple Underpass

The famous triple underpass, the convergence of Main Street, Commerce Street and Elm Street. JFK's motorcade sped through the underpass after the shots had been fired.

Woo-Woo!

Woo-Woo!

The train chugs along in Houston at the start of the game. This ballpark is crazy; I guess I've never really been in an indoor venue other than the Rogers Center (then the Skydome). It's just so weird, but it is a really pretty park.

Me in Houston...

Me in Houston...

The home team won again. We were pretty good luck for the home team, except in Saint Louis, but there was not much to be done there.

The Arch

Some of Saint Louis through the Arch.

Flag outside Busch Stadium

Flag outside Busch Stadium

A Saint Louis Fire Department suspends the flag from a ladder truck outside Busch Stadium. The outfield area of the park is actually street level, so it's kind of cool that way.

Rain Delay

Rain Delay

There was a really impressive rain delay during the Cards game against the Brewers. It was actually more impressive than the game itself, with the Cards losing big time.

Toy trucks on the tarp...

Toy trucks on the tarp...

The field crew's equipment is parked on the tarp to keep it down in the high winds and rain...the storm would pass soon enough to allow the game to be played...in not much more time than an American League game would normally be.

Me in Saint Louis

Me in Saint Louis

The new Cardinals' stadium is really pretty, but kind of boring and undistinguished, even with ME standing in front of it.

It might be Steve...

It might be Steve...

Steve, who is my second favorite brother, goofs around in the car on the way to the KC Royals stadium.

KC Royals

KC Royals

This ballpark is really old, and really minimalist, but it's actually kind of pretty, with the exception of the concourses and the bathrooms.

Me at the Royals stadium after they beat the Rangers.

Steve and Erin

Steve and Erin

Steve and Erin in KCMO, at, yes, a baseball game. We needed photo proof of this, as Steve hates baseball. We'll convert him eventually.

KC Wizards

KC Wizards

The lone soccer game on our trip, and the only way we could get Steve and Erin to join us. KC defeated Chivas USA.
